What is Pilates?

Pilates er en intelligent, nænsom, specifik og bevidstgørende træningsform.

Pilates er styrketræning på det fysiske såvel som det mentale plan. For at få det fulde udbytte må man være koncentreret, tilstede, fokuseret og lydhør.

Vejrtrækning

Koordination mellem bevægelse og vejrtrækning.

Styrkelse af den dybtliggende muskulatur.

Styrkelse af og omkring alle led.

Genoprettelse af styrke / balance i kroppen.

Det giver ro, bevidsthed og fokus at udføre øvelserne i vejrtrækningens tempo.

Når de tværgående dybe mavemuskler, de skrå mavemuskler og rygmusklerne bliver stærke, beskyttes lænden og torsoen bliver den stabile base for al bevægelse.

Pilates is a gentle, specific, and functional physical training

Pilates acts on the physical level as well as the mental. In order to achieve all of the benefits, one must be consciously aware, be present, focused and attentive – mindfulness in motion.

The essence of Pilates is:

breathing.

The coordination between movement and breathing .

The execution of exercises at the same tempo as the breathing.

Strengthening the deep-rooted muscular system.

Strengthening around the joints and improving joint mobility.

Reestablishing strength and balance in the body as a whole

Performing the exercises at the same tempo as the breathing brings about calmness, consciousness, focus and mindfulness.

When the transverse deep abdominal muscles, the oblique abdominal muscles and the muscles closest to the spine become strong, the lower back is protected and the torso becomes the stable base of all activities.

Pilates strengthens general posture and reestablishes balance and harmony in the body.

Pilates training is preventative, rehabilitating and maintains the condition of the body.
